White Chocolate Oreo Egg Pops
If you can resist eating these before your guests arrive, these White Chocolate Oreo Egg Pops make a very cute table centrepeice for an Easter brunch or Egg Hunt. They're just made for sharing - and a calorie shared is a calorie spared, right?
You'll Need:
-
1 large bag of Cadbury's white chocolate buttons or about 2 blocks of white chocolate for cooking
-
1 packet of chocolate oreos
-
12 cake pop sticks
-
confetti sprinkles, 100s and 100's or your choice of topping
-
a bowl
-
a bread board or plate or somewhere to allow the pops to dry
-
12 cake pop bags (optional)
-
50 cm ribbon (optional)
Note: If you are planning to use these for party favours or gifts, you might like to put them into individual bags and tie with a ribbon, like we did.

Steps:
1. Take your oreos and carefully twist them apart. You'll need to be gentle, as they break easily. I read this on Easy Baked , but didn't break any at the twisting stage. Of course, then I got a little cocky and went full steam ahead, only to realise that they break at every stage. So be warned. And enjoy eating the broken ones ;-)
2. Next take one of your cake pop sticks and make an indentation in the white filling of each cookie.

3. Melt the chocolate, either by stove top or microwave. I zapped mine in the microwave for about 20 seconds and then mashed with a fork. Chocolate burns easily, so do a little bit at a time. If you melt your chocolate this way, be sure to stir it as the top layer keeps its shape and looks as though its not actually melting.

4. Dip one end of the stick into the melted chocolate and then sandwich the two cookie halves together. Allow the melted chocolate to harden like glue...like a little love match...cute!

5. Next, dip your entire cookie into the melted chocolate. This is the part where I had the most trouble. Seriously, I should have chosen a larger bowl to melt the chocolate in. A little tiny one like this was not an Einstein moment. So anyway, dip your cookie...

and roll in the sprinkles. Try to get both sides evenly, as well as the sides.

Make as many as you need.

Individual gift wrapping, tied with a cute ribbon is a lovely touch for party favours or one big table arrangement.

Try not to eat them all before your guests arrive!
