You'll Need:
 
  • 200g (7oz or 1 cup) dried figs

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fig Butter

When life gives you lemons...make lemonade.  When Santa gives you a fig tree?  Well, what else is there to do, but make Fig Butter? 

 

 

 

Steps:

 

  1. Blitz the dried figs, minus the hard stem, in a food processor. 

  2. Add spices and a pinch of salt.

  3.  This fig butter is delish on Lavash crackers....mmmmm....

  4. Roll mixture into a round sausage and wrap in plastic.

  5. Leave to cool in the fridge before cutting into slices.
