We recently shared the instructions for this How-To with our friends over at Baby Sitter Search. This may be the one time you're actually wishing it would rain over the school holidays. It may or may not rain at your place, but when it does, you’ll be ready with this very cool rain catcher.

We’re a little dinosaur mad at our place – even more so after Jurassic Park came out at the movies in 3D over the last holidays. I can’t count the number of times we’ve seen that movie. If your little meteorologists aren’t as interested in T-Rexs as mine, you can change the theme to anything that suits.

I found some other very creative ideas for rain catchers that you can make at home. This one is a pretty watering can, hung from a rope to catch drops from above. It's also convenient, which I love. This adorable rain catcher is another How-To from Ready For Ten.

Have fun and get ready to catch some drops!
